Amanda's big charity ride - all you need to know

AMANDA Holden has completed her gruelling 250-mile charity ride, crossing the finish line in London today to cheers, confetti cannons, and a warm welcome from her husband.
The star had been cycling from her mum's house in Bude, Cornwall, to Heart HQ in London's Leicester Square to raise funds forMake Some Noise, which raises money for small charities across the UK.
Amanda's Big Ride To Worksaw the star cycle up to six hours a day.
The challenge kicked off on Monday and has continued throughout the week as she travelled through Somerset, Berkshire, Wiltshire, and Surrey, before finally reaching Global's headquarters in Leicester Square – just in time for Global’s Make Some Noise Day.
Amanda said that she would be using"bum butter" from the start of the trip to the end.
She told The Sun: “I’ve got padded gussets and bum butter, but that’s just every day for me."

Amanda Holdentriumphantly finished her 250-mile charity bike ride, exclaiming “my bum is killing me” as she crossed the finish line and shared an emotional moment with her husband, Chris.
Amanda was greeted by her Heart co-star Ashley Roberts as she completed the ride, and she was delighted as her doting husbandChris Hughesrushed up to her to give her a huge hug.
The 53-year-old said: “Oh my goodness. My husband Chris!”
She then shared: “My bum is killing me, everything is killing me, but no that was amazing.
“Theweatherwas terrible, some of the hills were barbaric but what a gorgeous way to see the UK.”
The presenter then thanked all of the fans for coming out tocheerher on.

Everything you need to know about Amanda's parents
Amanda is an actress and media personality, who has been a judge on talent show Britain’s Got Talent on ITV since 2007.
The 49-year-old co-host of the Heart Breakfast show, who released her debut studio album during the coronavirus pandemic,revealed she broke lockdown rules to see her elderly parents.
So what do we know about them?
Amanda Holden’s mother is Judith Mary Harrison, 71, and her stepfather is Leslie Collistor, 75.
The pair live together in a tiny hamlet near Bude, Cornwall, where Amanda’s cycle challenge started.
Amandapreviously revealed that Judith and Leslie worked as extras in films and in TV shows and appeared on Poldark.

The reception was held at Babington House, an exclusive members only club and hotel.

Unicorn pedal-boats and 52-mile treks
Amanda isn't the only one taking on major charity challenges this week.
Presenter Toby Tarrant is tackling a 50-mile journey on a unicorn pedal-powered boat, while Des Clarke has kicked off his 52-mile trek from Fife to Glasgow, aiming to complete the route within 24 hours.
Global's Make Some Noise is fundraising to support local projects that assist people facing life's toughest challenges.
Whether it's families dealing with a life-limiting diagnosis, individuals battling homelessness, or those experiencing isolation, the initiative offers vital support, ensuring no one has to face these difficulties alone.

Amanda's breakfast
Amanda said she was starving while on air in the studio, but was then overjoyed to be surprised with a delicious breakfast freshly prepared by chef Tom Kerridge, who praised Amanda's journey as "unbelievable."
Tom gifted Amanda a healthy squashed potato and red pepper omelette, served with homemade baked beans.
So far, Global’s Make Some Noise has raised an incredible £1,646,239.

Knowing that every mile I cover will help raise funds for those local projects providing a lifeline directly to those who need it most is what will keep me going. Amanda has enjoyed an illustrious career in the entertainment industry for over 25 years.
Her journey to success began when she was just 9-years-old when she joined Bishop’s Waltham Little Theatre Company.
Amanda continued her education through the arts and went on to attend Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts to receive specialist vocational training in acting and musical theatre.
Her first TV appearance was onCilla Black’sBlind Dateback in 1991, when she was just 19.
Embarrassingly, Amanda wasn’t selected by the bachelor on the dating show and revealed her ideal man was Jack Nicholson.
While she didn’t land herself a date, the experience did pave the way for her career on television.
Amanda also had a high-profile marriage to comedianLes Dennis.
The pair got hitched in 1995 and split temporarily after it was revealed she had been having an affair with Men Behaving Badly starNeil Morrissey.
They gave things another go before separating in 2002 and divorced the following year.
She later bagged a spot on ITV’s Wild at Heart in 2006 and starred in three series of the show alongside Stephen Timpkinson until 2008.

Amanda Holden was moved to tears on Wednesday during an emotional on-air reunion with the midwife who saved her life during her daughter’s birth.
The 53-year-old star became overwhelmed when midwife Pippa Middleton surprised her live on air.
After hearing Pippa's name through her headphones, while resting before another six-hour leg of her 250-mile charity bike ride, Amanda immediately teared up, saying: "That name makes me cry!"
Amanda went on to explain: "I met Pippa years ago when I was making a documentary about midwifery and we became friends from that.
"But thereafter she supported me through my very sad stillbirth that I had with my beautiful son Theo and she’s basically been there for the whole thing."

Amanda’s shock at £100,000 donation
While Amanda was fully rested and ready for another day back on her bike on Tuesday morning, the weather forecast for Day 2 was not looking good, with heavy rain and storms predicted to make that leg even harder. And the forecasts turned out to be right, as torrential rain lashed down on Amanda as she cycled through to Frome.
Her spirits were lifted, however, when she received a surprise donation of £100,000 from Universal Pictures' The Wild Robot that morning.

When was Debbie Holden’s serious car accident?
Debbie Holden was involved in a life threatening,single-vehicle car accident in 2016.
The 44, Debbie was in a “critical but stable” in hospital in Cornwall.
Her sister Amanda kept a bedside vigil while she recovered – after hearing of the news while she was attending Simon Cowell’s 57th birthday party, and fleeing to lend her support.
Debbie narrowly escaped death in an earthquake in Nepal just a year prior to the accident.
