De Zilveren Rijder (or Nyenrodiaanse Handelsvereniging “De Zilveren Rijder” in full) is the largest student-run investment fund in the Netherlands, located at Nyenrode Business University. Its foundation was laid in 1996 by two Nyenrode students, and since then the investment association lives by three core values: Friendship, Wealth and Trust (Amicitia, Facultas, Confidentia). Since its foundation, the fund attracted and managed a portfolio that exceeds 200,000 EUR, consistently beating the Dutch stock market.   Masterclass Investing by Olivier van DijkOn April 3, De Zilveren Rijder, organized the first masterclass of 2025 for our new committee members and analysts. The masterclass focused on a new era in investing with the use of different artificial intelligence tools and provided us with valuable insights regarding investing. A former Nyenrode alumnus and member of De Zilveren Rijder returned to the Breukelen campus to give us this valuable masterclass. Olivier van Dijkthank you for having us. With an engaging and interactive approach, Olivier shared his expertise on identifying forward-looking investing opportunities and risks. We explored key topics as diversification, risk profiles, and valuation metrics.   XXIV Board of De Zilveren RijderThis month, we celebrated the inauguration of the XXIV Board of De Zilveren Rijder. Founded in 1996 by two Nyenrode students, this investment committee has grown into the largest private student-managed investment fund in Europe. We currently have over 800 stakeholders and manage approximately €250.000 in assets. Over the past 28 years, De Zilveren Rijder has consistently outperformed the AEX through a defensive investment strategy and a long-term vision.As a board, we are responsible for selecting and mentoring student analysts within our student association to visit investment firms and conduct investment training sessions to continuously expand our knowledge of the financial markets. Our mission is to cultivate financial expertise within the commission and to work closely with our analysts to foster a deeper understanding of investing together.We are excited for the year ahead and look forward to working together with: Xander Beere, Lisa Stolk, Yash Ramjankhan, Riemer Iprenburg, Mark D., Christian Jorna, and Sem van de Bovenkamp!
